Will Smith and George Clinton Support Ben Crump. You might recall, Attorney Crump was honored with a Law School named after him. The Benjamin L. Crump College of Law at St. Thomas University held a dedication ceremony which Will S attended.
Of course, the rapper turned actor was honored to support.
“Ben has been an absolutely spectacular friend and guide, and that’s why it was important for me to be here with him today.”
Smith continues:

“There are very, very few people in the world with a heart like this; so it is my deepest honor and my deepest pleasure to be here to support and to show some love. Congratulations on this historic honor.”

Duly noted, a $10 million campaign was launched for the schools’ name change.

Specifically, the funds were raised for scholarships aimed at St. Thomas University law students.

Black Americas’ Attorney General

Equally important, the donations came pouring in from various donors. Allegedly, an anonymous source donated $1.5 million—while Truist bank donated $1 million.

Without a doubt, this is a major accomplishment for Crump and everyone involved.

Thus, several celebrities giving to the cause. Namely, Will S, George Clinton and T.D. Jakes came together to raise a whopping $10 million dollars.

Of course, Attorney Crump is widely regarded as Black Americas’ Attorney General. He’s represented a slew of high profile cases. For example: the families of George Floyd and Brionna Taylor after being wrongfully murdered by the cops.

Most recently, Crump represented Tyre Nichols’ family following the same gut wrenching experience.

Ultimately, this new accomplishment is amazing and a joy to witness. After all, how many law schools are named after a successful, educated, respectable Black man?

Regarding Mr. Funkadelic, his career spans more than forty years. However, he’s currently into creating abstract art.

Seemingly, he’ll continue performing his timeless music as he sees fit. And The Fresh Prince recently began filming Bad Boys Four.
