Bigi reportedly decided to oppose the matriarch in the Jackson family. It’s all due to Michael’s extensive music catalog.

While Katherine wanted to stop the sale of Michael’s music, Bigi did not. Because Katherine was taking money from MJ’s estate to pay legal fees, Bigi opposed it.

As we know, Michael left his three children, Paris, Prince, and Bigi, well off. And his mother has also been well taken care of since his death.

However, while Bigi favored selling his Dad’s music, his grandmother was not. Hence, the battle began with Katherine fighting appeals against the sale.

This has created issues between Bigi and Katherine, resulting in an ongoing legal battle before a judge.

As stated by US Weekly, he is asking the court to block Katherine from using the estate’s money for the appeal.

These reports surfaced on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

Katherine (93) wants attorneys John Branca and A&R executive John McClain (co-executors) of Michael’s estate to pay legal fees.

According to People, the attorneys won a ruling last year in probate court. This decision allowed the alleged sale of some of MJ’s music catalog ($600M)  to Sony.

Details concerning this matter are a little sketchy. TMZ reports an appeal presented by Katherine is still pending.

But it has not stopped Bigi Jackson from stepping in to stop the proceedings.
