According to police, the two victims were shot multiple times. According to People, Sauce Walkd and an unidentified man were involved in a shooting incident.
Unfortunately, the unidentified man was killed. However, Sauce Walka was injured and taken to the nearby hospital.
Sauce was allegedly hit in the thigh by a barrage of bullets. Some of the bullets must have missed Sauce; otherwise, he would be dead.
Memphis police said Sauce was the intended target. However, as Complex stated, it appears to be an isolated incident.
Also, police claim the suspect fired shots at Sauce without any conversation. This could be another indication it was Sauce who was the intended target.
Authorities Believe Attack Was Planned
As we mentioned earlier, police are almost certain Sauce, not the unidentified man, was Mark. In a statement with People Magazine,
“[The department] is committed to bringing those responsible to justice and will be utilizing downtown camera footage and other technology available to aid in identifying everyone involved.”
Meanwhile, the Houston rapper has escaped the shooting with non-life-threatening injuries. This could have been deadly for Sauce. But fortunately for him, his life was spared.
As of now, the suspects involved in the shooting of Sauce Walka are still at large. Police have issued a public appeal for any information that may lead to the apprehension of the individuals responsible for the crime.
