Diddy Alleges Racism & Neglect In DeLeon Tequila Venture. Hip-hop mogul Sean Combs is speaking out about his partnership with the DeLeon Tequila brand. His company is Combs Wine LLC. seeks an injunction to force Diageo to live up to its promise. The lawsuit seeks damages in the millions.

Combs filed his complaint in the state Supreme Court in New York.

According to Revolt, Diageo allegedly failed to make DeLeon Tequila as successful as possible.

Especially since Diageo’s brands, Don Julio and Casamigos, have had great success.

The issue is the brands I aforementioned are founded by actors George Clooney, Randy Gerber, and Mike Meldman.

In the lawsuit, Combs highlights discrepancies between the work Diageo had done behind the scenes for allegedly white-founded brands.

However, Diageo has not allegedly done the same for Comb’s DeLeon Tequila.

Furthermore, Combs’s complaint claims he has experienced unequal treatment.

And has been continuous that Comb has felt the lack of support.

Also, Diageo’s CEO Ivan Menezes has shown great reluctance to work somewhat with Black partners allegedly.

Sadly, it is not the first venture with Combs and Diageo.

Previous deals with Diageo were quite successful.

A partnership was formed with Combs and Diageo in 2002.

At that time, Diageo reached out to Combs to create a new brand of liquor, as stated by Yahoo,

Things went well because CIROC’s sales went from 40,000 to 2,600,ooo in a few years.

Naturally, Combs would stick with Deageo to put out his DeLeon Tequila.

But you can see that Combs and Diageo’s relationship has gone sour.

Now, Deageo is faced with litigation bought on by Combs.
