Burna Boy Tour Will Make History When He Comes To NYC’s Citi Field
The Burna Boy tour which began last summer is still in full swing.
Upcoming tour dates include a milestone stop at NYC’s Citi Field.
Last April, he became the first Nigerian act to headline Madison Square Garden.
When he takes the stage at City Field, he will be making history again.
This stop, set for July on his continued ‘Love, Damini‘ tour makes him the first Nigerian artist to headline a U.S. stadium.
Billboard exclusively makes this announcement.
Speaking with Billboard in his previous cover story he says –
“It has always been my vision to build a bridge between all Black people in all parts of the world through the music and performance. Music is the No. 1 messenger.”
The 31-year-old Afro-fusion superstar – real name – Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu – will put all his many talents on display.
The City Field stop, produced by Live Nation, is also the first anniversary of Burna’s album drop for Love, Damini.
That project not only reached the No. 2 spot on Billboard’s World Albums chart but also received a 2023 Grammy nod for the best global music album.
If you are planning on attending his concert at City Field in New York, special access tickets will go on pre-sale April 4 through April 6 through the City Entertainment program (www.citientertainment.com).
From there, general on-sale ticket selling begins on April 7 at www.onaspaceship.com.
