Lil Wayne Diamond Certification For The First Time With ‘Lollipop’
Lil Wayne Diamond Certified for the very first time.
The fantastic feat, selling more than 10 million equivalent units, was achieved with the single, ‘Lollipop‘.
It was a long time coming, as the single was dropped way back in 2008 on his platinum LP, The Carter 3.
In fact, The Carter 3 went platinum just a week after its release.
And though the song came out before streaming was a thing, it is now the third song by Weezy to achieve 1 billion streams.
But still, he dropped a whopping 13 studio albums without reaching Diamond status.
However, he’s done it now, and fans couldn’t be more excited.

The 40-year-old rap legend was congratulated via social media by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) saying –
“Welcome to the club! @LilTunechi earns his first Diamond as #Lollipop reaches 10X multi-Platinum @RepublicRecords @CashMoney”

Incidentally, the featured artist on the song, Static Major also joined the Diamond club, posthumously.
