Remy Ma Delivers With “Chrome 23” All-Girl Rap Battles
Remy Ma (real name Reminisce Smith) brings rap battles to life with some choice females in a new show, Chrome 23.
Explaining the title of the show, Remy explained that Chrome 23 stands for Chromosome 23, the pair of X and Y chromosomes that determines a person’s sex.
Are y’all ready for some fierce competition that only these ladies can bring?
Back in December, the Bronx, NY emcee announced that she was starting a woman’s rap battle league.
Taking to social media, the rapper posted –
“So excited for my new Female Battle Rap League @ChromeTwenty3. My first card event is Sunday, February 27th…Invite Only…but it will be live stream viewing available ! #QueensGetThe Money #Midnight Madness”
Streamed on New York’s hip-hop radio station, Hot 97, the first event will be titled, “Queens Get The Money”.
Here is the line-up –
- Ms. Hustle vs. Couture
- 40 Barrs vs. QB
- Casey J vs. O.fficial
- Yoshi G vs. Pristavia

Remy’s Goal For Starting These Rap Battles?
“I want all the women that have ever put their blood, sweat and tears into this, that’s been doing this for years to get a chance to really make some decent money…”
In an Instagram Video, Remy Ma declared that Chrome 23 will be a game-changer, and spoke of girl power in rap –
“Hip Hop. It has always been a male-dominated industry, Not anymore. In 2022, women practically run Hip Hop, both in front and behind the scenes.”
“There’s a different breed of female rapper that is about to take over the world.”
Although this venture is an all-woman deal, the “Lean Back” rapper says she’s gotten nothing but encouragement from the guys she’s spoken to –
“Every dude that I’ve spoken to has been one hundred and fifty percent…they all feel the same way and they’re very, very, supportive.”
Speaking of streaming her show, Remy also doesn’t rule out the possibility of taking her show on the road with a tour.
Remy’s Chrome 23 rap battles start on February 27th.
