Cassidy speaks on beef w Meek. I find it very interesting that both Meek and Cassidy could not bury their differences. Especially, since both talented rappers are from the City of Brotherly Love (Philadelphia). But apparently, there is still after all these years bad blood between the two men.
During Cassidy’s interview with hosts O’God and SamAnt of Hip Hop News Uncensored we learn more details. Cassidy gave a very detailed explanation of what happens in the music business, as reported by The Source.
Not only did Cassidy give details he let us know that it is a cute throat business. As well as, why he and Meek’s friendship came apart. Did Cassidy think Meek dissed him after he became more successful?
When Cassidy did an interview with Vlad TV back in 2015 he shared this:
“The media try to make it seem like it’s on some street beef or something like that. I don’t want nothing to happen to Meek. That was my homie. I was showing him love before the whole world even knew who he was. I wish him nothing but the best. But at the end of the day I feel I’m the best with this music shit.
So if anybody ever try to question that, then it’s like, let’s get it. I feel as though niggas need to be more competitive man. Everybody friends and hugging and shaking hands and sitting together. It’s like, where is the competition at? That’s what make Hip Hop more interesting.”
With that said, although Cassidy is no longer friends with Meek the competition between rappers is good. In other words, just like other sports hip hop music is competitive. And, that is not necessarily a bad thing. Unfortunately, often times the beef between rival rappers can get very dangerous.
