As you may remember, Colin was allegedly let go from the NFL. His stand against racial inequality and police brutality was met with opposition. Because Colin decided to kneel during the national anthem, it sparked controversy.
That is, after taking such a controversial stand, the NFL league allegedly took action. This action against Colin Kaepernick resulted in him being allegedly blackballed.
In other words, Colin has not played in the NFL since 2016 because of his actions. San Francisco’s beloved 49ers allegedly released Colin from his quarterback position.

According to Deadline, ESPN will not be airing Colin Kaepernick’s docuseries. Despite the anticipation surrounding Spike’s involvement, the collab has ended.
And, the move by the network has left many wondering about the reasons behind their decision. With the controversy and divisiveness surrounding Colin, ESPN chose to avoid any potential backlash.
Recently, Spike Lee has confirmed ESPN’s decision, but stopped short of saying more. At the same time, the exact reasons for the network’s choice remain unclear.

“ESPN, Colin Kaepernick, and Spike Lee have collectively decided to no longer proceed with this project as a result of certain creative differences,” the network said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “Despite not reaching finality, we appreciate all the hard work and collaboration that went into this film.”
Something went wrong. But as we mentioned, Spike would not elaborate. Also, so far, Colin has not spoken about the docuseries being halted.
