TC Carson Interview On Why He Was Fired!!!

TC Carson Interview On Why He Was Fired. Of course, it has been some years since the hit sitcom Living Single was cancelled. But we never knew what happened to Kyle Barker.

TC admits he was let go unfairly

TC Carson interview on why he was fired. I always wondered what happened to TC aka Kyle Barker. Even though, the iconic sitcom was very popular with black audiences. It was still cancelled.

With that being said, we now get to hear TC’s view. TC was one of shows main characters. In fact, TC’s character Kyle Barker bought depth a certain Je ne sais quoi to the show.

In other words, the quality of his character complimented the other shows characters. Also, I wonder if Living Single would have been as successful without Kyle. Be that as it may, it was good to hear TC speak about what really happened to his character.

During his interview with hosts O’God and SamAnt on Hip Hop Uncensored I was a little taken aback by what Kyle shared.

In TC’s account he mentioned that the show wanted to type cast his and Overton’s characters like Lenny and Squiggy. In case you were wondering, Lenny and Squiggy were the goofy characters on the hit sitcom Laverne and Shirley.

And, I can certainly understand why TC did not want to portray himself in this manner. Especially, since Black men already have a difficult time in society at large. Not to mention, that black men as actors don’t get to display the diverse complexed depth of our men.

So, it was really upsetting to know that TC would be asked to for lack of better words, be a stereo type, as reported by Black Enterprise.

Although, the show fired TC unjustly. However, TC wanted us to know that he was grateful for the opportunity.
