Philadelphia Bans Pooh Shiesty-Style Ski Masks On SEPTA Buses

Philadelphia Bans Pooh Shiesty-Style Ski Masks On SEPTA Buses. The city is taking extreme measures for safety on public transportation. Ever since there was a shooting on a Septa bus this week. This new measure bans anyone from wearing ski masks on buses. The city officials believe this move will help fight crime and increase public safety. The decision was made after increased violent crimes involving suspects wearing ski masks.

New Anti-Crime Measure Put In Place On Public Transportation

A young teen was fatally wounded on public transportation.

And the alleged assailant was seen on video wearing a mask.

This ski mask became popular with rapper Pooh Shiesty.

After Shiesty started sporting the ski mask, many teens followed.

It started a trend of teens in urban areas wearing the popular ski masks everywhere.

However, wearing a ski mask is no longer allowed after the 15-year-old student was shot on a SEPTA bus.

SEPTA’s Police Chief Charles Lawson spoke on banning “sheisty” masks during the press conference.

According to Fox 29 News, Lawson declared,

“Those face masks are prohibited on SEPTA property,” SEPTA Transit Police Chief Charles Lawson said in a press conference. “If you come on SEPTA property wearing your shiesty, you will be engaged by police. So I want you to think about it.”

Lawson went on to say,

“Masks are an issue. I’m going to be completely honest with you,” he said. “These full-head coverings are a major issue because we are seeing it routinely being worn in 80-degree weather in Philadelphia. There is no legitimate reason, pandemic withstanding, to wear a full head covering in public for anything.”

During Covid-19, the balaclava mask gained popularity.

Of course, the ski mask has become associated with Pooh Shiesty, hence its new name.

Unfortunately, sheisty-style ski masks have become associated with criminal activity.

I can certainly understand why Lawson is banning passengers from wearing masks.

That is why passengers wearing a mask on SEPTA must take it off immediately, as stated by XXL Mag.

Elsewise, the passenger will be escorted off the bus.

This drastic measure comes after a recent surge in crimes on public transportation.

Although I will admit, it is such an unfortunate ban, especially since those masks keep your face warm

That is if worn in the winter.
