Onyx Verzuz Cypress Hill. Onyx and Cypress Hill will officially meet in a Verzuz battle. Both groups were at the top of the charts throughout the nineties. Equally known for their hard-core energy.

East Coast West Coast Battle

Onyx Verzuz Cypress Hill. Hailing from Queens NYC, Onyx was discovered by the late Jam Master Jay in the early nineties.

Soon after, they began working on their debut album.

In 1993 Onyx released their Bacdafucup album under JMJ records.

Later that year, the album earned certified platinum status.

Their most notable members are Sticky Fingaz and Fredro Starr. Both can be seen in film and TV.

Over the years Onyx worked with DMX, Mr. Cheeks, and Wu-Tang. As well as the late Big Pun, and an up-and -coming 50 Cent.

Their most notable songs Throw Ya Gunz and Slam flooded the charts.

Slam, according to The Source is “A song that introduces the art of slam dancing into hip-hop.”

Slam reached #4 on the charts. As a result, is solidified the group as a force to be wrecked with. You can check out the Slam video below.

Who Will Win Verzuz

Cypress Hill Verzuz Onyx. Cypress Hill comes from Southern California. They’re notably the first Hip Hop group to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The group rose to fame with their self-titled debut album in 1991. A few years later, their single Insane in The Brain went gold.

Cypress Hill is known to advocate for marijuana. They go hard for cannabis and its benefits
