Lizzo Gets 8 Grammy Nominations. Lizzo has a really great year in music. Although, Lizzo is not new to the music industry. However, she has become famous as a result of her hit song, “Truth Hurts.”
Who is Lizzo?
Melissa Viviane Jefferson was born on April 27, 1988. Melissa aka Lizzo is a professional singer, rapper, song writer and musician. I think one of the most exciting and amazing things that Lizzo does is play the flute. Also, the fact that Lizzo is so creative and talented is amazing to see. Whenever Lizzo performs you are in for an phenomenal show. Lizzo’s third studio album, “Cuz I Love You”, debuted at N0.6 on the Billboard 200 charts. as, reported by NBC News. So, it is not surprising that Lizzo is nominated for 8 Grammy’s. In fact, here are the categories Lizzo has been nominated for: Album of the year, best new artist and song and record of the year just to name a few.
Lizzo shared her thoughts about the the 8 Grammy nominations on her Twitter. Here is what she wrote in large caps: “THIS HAS BEEN AN INCREDIBLE YEAR FOR MUSIC AND IM JUST SO THANKFUL TO EVEN BE PART OF IT.” In past years the Grammy’s have been notorious for rewarding journeyman stars and rock elders at the expense of pop’s younger and more vital ranks, as reported by The New York Times. So, it is really refreshing to see that younger and more diverse entertainer be celebrated for their work.
