In his case, Gucci Mane has decided to eliminate most of his rapper roster. The only rappers who will remain are the Pooh Shiesty and Googiano, even though they are in prison. As for the rest of the rappers, Gucci Mane has decided on their fate. The Atlanta rapper and record label owner agreed with some hesitation. Although Gucci was very fond of us artists, he knew it was the right time. However, Gucci has to consider the bottom line: letting some rappers go. This way, they can pursue their careers independently.

XXL Magazine reports that Gucci Mane’s record label is being revised. In other words, Gucci spoke with his artists and their attorneys before releasing some rappers.
Included in the release were Texas rappers HotBoy Wes and Mc Critter, who are both in prison. Unfortunately, female rapper Enchanting died suddenly this year, as stated by TMZ.
And rapper Big Scarr’s untimely death from an alleged overdose was unfortunate. Gucci would have possibly kept both Enchanting and Big Scarr.
Revamping the 1017 Record Label is the best move for Gucci Mane. As we mentioned, it will also give the rappers other opportunities to join another label.
At the same time, those who were released can become independent. Independent artists have become a trend lately, primarily because being independent gives the artists more control.

It solidifies Gucci Mane’s reputation in the music industry as a savvy businessman. After all, a new generation of rappers is waiting for their turn to shine.
Having said this, Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano will remain with Gucci’s record label. Let’s remember that Gucci was instrumental in the success of rappers Waka Flocka Flame and OJ Da Juiceman.
