This was the first “Rock the Bells Visionary Award, and Busta was the recipient. In Busta fashion, he not only won an award, but he performed his hit song, ” Pass the Courvoisier Part II.”
Then he did a redition of ‘Touch It (Remix).” In addition, rappers Joyner Lucas, Papoose, and GloRilla joined him on stage.

The VMAs 2025 were truly a legendary night, honoring a legendary artist. At 53 years old, Busta finally receives an award for his contribution to the music industry.

“Y’all know I usually do these long speeches, I’m not gonna do one today. But next time y’all take 35 years to give me one of these, y’all gonna let me talk as long as I want!” he began his speech, mentioning his first time ever receiving a VMA. “But let me get straight to it.”
Most people felt the love from Busta as he honored the memory of Ananda.

None other than hip-hop icon, LL Cool J, hosted the VMAs. It was LL who presented Busta with the award he had created himself.
As we mentioned earlier, it was the first Video Music Award for the veteran rapper. So, we can see why Busta was so appreciative. To make the evening more special, Busta’s family was in attendance.
Throughout his long career, Busta has received 12 Grammy Award nominations. Additionally, Busta has sold over 20 million records. Many may not remember, however, that Busta made his first appearance at the VMAs in 1997.
