Traci Braxton Dead At 50 From Cancer!!!!

Traci Braxton dead after battling cancer. She died this past Friday at the age of 50 with her family by her side.

Traci Braxton Dead From Year-Long Cancer Battle

Traci Braxton, a member of the famous Braxton family has died.

After a year-long battle with cancer, she lost her fight.

Traci, along with her sisters shared her life with fans in the reality show Braxton Family Values for 7 seasons.

Toni Braxton posted this on her Instagram page –

“It is with the utmost regret that we inform you of the passing of our sister, Traci. Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly.”

Along with her mom, her sisters Toni Braxton, as well as Tamar, Trina, and Towanda were all by her side.

She was also known for her roles on Sinners Wanted and Chaaw.

Additionally, she made appearances with other acting work, including –

• Marriage Boot Camp (as herself in 2014)
• There’s A Stranger In My House (Film in 2017)
• Sinners Wanted: Nana (2018)
• All In: Foster Mom (2019)
• The Christmas Lottery – Announcer (2020)

Also, she was a part of the singing group The Braxtons with her sisters.

In addition to singing with them, she also did backup singing for her superstar sister, Toni Braxton.

As a solo artist, she reached #16 on Billboard’s Hot 200 chart with the single, Last Call.

And was a radio personality and had her own show, The Traci Braxton Show.

After her passing, her husband, Kevin Surratt made this statement to TMZ –

“We have come to a time where we must inform the public that after a year of privately undergoing a series of treatment for Esophageal cancer our beloved Traci Braxton has gone on to glory.”

The t.v. personality chose to fight her battle with cancer in private.

However, her family was by her side when she passed.

She leaves to mourn, her husband, one son, Kevin Surratt, Jr., and one grandchild.

She was 50 years old.
