According to TMZ, a warrant has been issued for Tyrese Gibson’s arrest. It appears that one of Tyrese’s Cane Corso Mastiffs attacked a neighbor’s dog.
While we don’t know exactly what happened, Tyrese’s attorney has released a statement. Gabe Banks of Weaver Law Firm shared this,
“Mr. Tyrese Gibson extends his deepest condolences to the family who lost their beloved dog to this tragic incident that occurred while Mr. Gibson was away from his home. Upon learning of this unfortunate accident, Mr. Gibson immediately made the difficult decision to rehome his dogs to a safe and loving environment.”
At the time of the incident, reports say, Tyrese was not at his Atlanta home. However, the singer was very upset about the incident. Additionally, Tyrese is fully cooperating with the authorities.
But it’s too late, because people claim his dogs roam the neighborhood. And, some of the residents say that the massive dogs terrize them, as stated by People.
Neighbor’s Pet Fatally Injured in Horrific Incident
Police received a 911 call from Harrison Parker. Harrison claims Tyrese’s dogs could be seen on a doorbell camera. In other words, the alleged attack is being broadcast live on video.
At the time of the attack, Harrison said his dog was left in the yard. Shortly after the attack, Harrison claims he saw his dog had died.
He was devastated after allegedly seeing his beloved dog, Henry, bleeding. Also, the 5-year-old dog had puncture wounds, according to court documents obtained by WSB-TV 2.
A warrant has been issued for Tyrese’s arrest, as previously stated. Other reports claim that Tyrese was going to surrender his dogs to Animal Services.
However, when authorities arrived at his home, the dogs were not there. Perhaps Tyrese wanted to spare the lives of his dogs, so he gave them to someone else.
We can only imagine how Harrison is feeling after his beloved pet was killed. Captain Nicole Dwyer with Fulton County Police said,
“animal owners should not let their pets roam free. “And now, they have killed an innocent animal.”
As the investigation into the dog attack progresses, will Tyrese face jail time? Or will he have to pay significant damages for the dog’s death?
One thing is sure: this could serve as a wake-up call for other dog owners. Although dogs are great pets, large dogs should not be allowed to roam free.
