Prosecutors Seek To Revoke Young Thug’s Probation

Prosecutors Seek To Revoke Young Thug’s Probation. Young Thug, the popular rapper known for hits such as “The London” and “Pick Up the Phone,” is considering revoking his probation. Prosecutors are seeking to take action against the artist due to alleged violations of the terms of his probation. This latest legal trouble adds to a string of legal issues that Young Thug has faced in recent years.
Young Thug Faces Probation Revocation
Prosecutors Seek To Revoke Young Thug’s Probation.
Jeffery Lamar Williams was placed on probation after spending a lot of time behind bars. However, he is facing probation violation because of social media posts.
Instead of creating new music, Thugger does not keep a low profile. Now, as Variety stated, the prosecutors are coming for him. It does not appear that Thugger is concerned about his freedom being taken away.
The terms of his probation are stringent. Thugger is accused of posting an image of Marissa Viverito, an Atlanta Police Department investigator.
Marrisa was involved in his trial and is now engaged in another gang-related trial. For this reason, mentioning her is problematic for Thugger.
It does not help that Thugger allegedly said she was the “biggest liar in the DA office.” Prosecutors claim that by posting this message, he “demonstrated a blatant disregard for the law, the safety of witnesses, and the integrity of judicial proceedings.”
Prosecutors Move to Revoke Rapper’s Probation
Instead of prosecutors putting in a motion to revoke Thugger’s probation, his legal team speaks. Attorney Brian Steel shared a statement saying,
“This motion is baseless.” “While intimidation and threats of violence are never appropriate, Jeffrey Williams has done nothing wrong, We look forward to seeking a dismissal of this petition.”
Despite attorney Brian’s claims, prosecutors appear to be moving forward to put Thugger behind bars.
On the other hand, Thugger is claiming his innocence by posting a response to prosecutors. He claims he is a peacemaker and is not trying to harm anyone.
As stated by WSB-TV News 2, the judge overseeing the case now has to decide: Will Thugger be put back in jail? Or will his attorney succeed in getting the motion thrown out?
If his probation is revoked, the rapper may be subject to additional fines, community service, or jail time.
