Next, authorities tested the substance to find out it contained 6.12 oz of weed. Sources say he didn’t hesitate to admit to carrying marijuana.
Subsequently, police took Shumpert to the airport jail. Needless to say, he’s married to R&B songstress Teyana Taylor.
Well, the father of two intended to fly to LA and spend time with his daughters–when TSA reprimanded him from boarding his Delta Airlines flight.
Importantly, the Georgia Tech alum faces a hefty fine plus jail time. In the state of Texas, marijuana possession of 2 ounces or less is a Class B misdemeanor.
However, marijuana’s illegal on the federal level. Unfortunately, 4 ounces to 5 pounds is a state felony.
Thus, he faces a fine of $10,000. As well as, up to two years behind bars if convicted. As you might know, Iman and his partner recently won season 30 of Dancing With the Stars.
Currently, Shumpert remains a free agent. Of course, he was a part of the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers championship team.
