Obviously, after careful consultation with the university’s board of trustees, the revocation was made. According to CNN,
“Mr. Combs’ behavior as captured in a recently released video is so fundamentally incompatible with Howard University’s core values and beliefs that he is deemed no longer worthy to hold the institution’s highest honor,” the Board said in the statement.”
It was CNN that allegedly published a 2016 surveillance video of Diddy physically assaulting his girlfriend. That video went viral on social media. Everyone saw the horrific video of Diddy alleging beating Cassie.
And this viral video sealed Diddy’s fate in the public eye. Not only that, but Diddy has now begun to feel the effects of his previous behavior.
Revocation Of Diddy’s Honorary Degree
Diddy received an honorary degree in 2014. He was recognized for his contributions to the music industry and philanthropic efforts.
Howard University made a formal announcement. According to another report by US Weekly, Diddy has been asked to return the honorary degree.
The HU Board of Trustees voted unanimously to accept the return of the honorary degree from Diddy.
According to the University, Diddy has allegedly failed to uphold the values and standards of HU.
Impact On Diddy’s Relationship with Howard
The revocation of Diddy’s honorary degree has significantly impacted his relationship with Howard University. Diddy is a vocal supporter of the university who has made significant donations in the past.

Also, Diddy’s scholarship program was allegedly discontinued.
