G Herbo Faces $237K Lawsuit Over Unpaid Legal Fees

G Herbo Faces $237K Lawsuit Over Unpaid Legal Fees. Chicago rapper G Herbo, known for his gritty lyrics and raw storytelling, is again facing legal troubles. This time, it’s not for his music or personal life but for failing to pay his legal fees. The rapper, whose real name is Herbert Wright III, is now embroiled in a lawsuit over unpaid legal fees.

G Herbo’s Legal Troubles

G Herbo Faces $237K Lawsuit Over Unpaid Legal Fees.

According to All Hip Hop, G Herbo was supposed to pay the law firm Prince Lobel Tye $237,000 in legal services fees.

However, the firm says it is still owed money for its services. G Herbo went on social media and posted a message concerning the issue.

He claims he has already paid the law firm $1 million and was unfairly charged more than he should have been allowed.

“I wish I didn’t even have to address this kind of stuff because… if I could avoid any kind of public perception in my personal life, in my business, I would do the opposite,” G Herbo said. “First of all, I paid y’all a million dollars. A million dollars, I think a little over a million dollars. I pleaded guilty to something. I had minor, a little involvement in the first place, and I only had my name on five pages of discovery.”

As stated by XXL Mag, this was the firm that represented him in a wire fraud conspiracy. Instead of G Herbo spending time in jail, the judge issued a financial penalty.

As a result, G Herbo was allegedly made to pay $280K. Allegedly, G Herbo’s manager, Antonio “T Glo” Strong, made purchases of car rentals, goods, and services.

G Herbo allegedly used these services but was not paid. The credit cards used for purchases were alleged to be stolen.

Having said this, G Herbo hired Prince Lobel Tye’s law firm to represent him. Therefore, G Herbo was to pay the firm for their services.

That allegedly did not happen.

Lawsuit Filed Over Unpaid Fees

The law firm Prince Lobel Tye is now suing the rapper for alleged unpaid service fees.  According to reports, the unpaid fees amount to a significant sum, and the law firm seeks payment through the legal system.

The lawsuit was filed on September 24, 2024, as a “breach of contract” and “unjust enrichment,” as stated by The Shaderoom. The law firm is also claiming G Herbo stopped paying them around two weeks ago.

According to the law firm, G Herbo has allegedly paid $26,542.85 so far. That amount does not dent the large sum Prince Lobel Tye claims G Hervo owes them.

Furthermore, the law firm claims G Herbo was aware of the amount he had to pay for their services. Check out what they’re represented shared,

“…It would be unjust for Mr. Wright to enjoy the benefits of Prince Lobel’s services without paying for them,” the suit reportedly adds. “As a result of Mr. Wright’s failure and refusal to pay for the legal work performed by Prince Lobel but accepting the fruits of that work, Mr. Wright has been unjustly enriched, and Prince Lobel has suffered harm.”

Clearly, the law firm wants to be compensated for its services. Despite what G Herbo is claiming, they are likely to get what they are asking for.
