Trevor Taheim Smith Jr. walked into the police station to answer the complaint against him. He had an altercation with his assistant, Dashiel Gables.
The alleged incident occurred on January 10th in the lobby of a Brooklyn Condo building. According to TMZ, Busta and Dashiel got into it over his assistant using the phone during work hours.
Words were allegedly exchanged, and the fight escalated. Other reports claim Busta slugged Dashiel several times. Therefore, Busta quickly exited, and Dashiel reportedly called the police.
Dashiel was also taken to a local hospital and treated. On Tuesday, Busta allegedly turned himself in and received a DAT ticket. A desk appearance ticket was given for a court date to address the charges.
Consequently, Busta is being charged with three criminal charges: misdemeanor assault, attempted assault, and harassment. In another report by Complex, Busta’s attorneys have advised him not to comment.
Alleged Altercation Incident
An alleged altercation involving Busta Rhymes reportedly occurred at Brooklyn Condo. As we mentioned, Busta allegedly got into an altercation with his assistant.
After the alleged altercation, 50-year-old Dashiel Gables called 911; when police arrived at Dashiel, it was clear Busta’s assistant was injured. We don’t know if any witnesses could substantiate Dashiels’ story.
However, days later, Busta Rhymes visited the local police department and was given a court date soon. For some, it is hard to believe that the famous rapper was involved in an altercation.
Some of these cases are settled out of court. In other words, the guilty party offers a monetary settlement, which the alleged victim accepts or rejects.
