Cedric’s Controversial Comment On Bill Cosby
Cedric The Entertainer defends Bill Cosby. Of course, there are mixed reviews about actor/comedian Bill Cosby’s incarceration. However, Cedric has offered his opinion on the matter.
And, some people are upset with what Cedric has said. We just heard about Cedric’s conversation with TMZ. Does Cedric have a valid point? Should all of his accomplishments be forgotten.
Especially, since Bill as convicted in 2018 for sexual crimes against Andrea Constandt. How can people forget that Bill was once referred to as “America’s Dad?” Here is some of what Cedric said:
“Everything he did…the way he contribute, the way he showed love to Black people,” Cedric told reporters. “The way he taught us how to do that for ourselves, the way we all learned to take pride in our culture and our history.”
Certainly, what Bill did is in the world of entertainment is undeniable. But does Bill’s actions cancel out all that he has done?
Some would say it does. Although, I tend to agree with Cedric’s comments. I do not condone any of Bills behavior’s which ultimately led to him going to prison. Be that as it may, how do you take sides? How do you compares ones works with their actions. Which by the way, contradict what we all thought we knew about Bill.
Is it safe to say without Bill’s pioneering contributions other black entertainers would not exist. Let’s not forget Bills generous contributions to Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
In addition, the Cosby Show was a model for us. The show gave a better perspective on black families. It was ground breaking show. Not to mention, that the cult classic show “Different World” caused college enrollment to considerably increase.
More importantly, Bill was his own boss, as was pointed out by Cedric, according to Atlanta Black Star. Also, I almost forgot that Bill created one of my favorite cartoons ,”The Fat Albert Show”
