Mason Betha has categorically denied the label of being a “gangster pastor.” The rapper-turned-pastor has been vocal about his transformation from a life of secular music.

Former Bad Boy Artist now dedicates himself to preaching and spreading the Word of God. According to Complex, Mase addressed what Shannon said during an episode of ‘It Is What It Is.’

He shared his thoughts with co-hosts Cam’ron and Treasure Wilson, saying,

“Your boy chose to target me about the sets and the working out, and all that, he called me a fake pastor and all that,” Mase said with a laugh. “I don’t wanna say his name… When we were talking about the dips and the sets and all of that, and Mike Epps.”

However, Mase told Shannon, ‘You wanted to be tough with Mike Epps, and you settled quicker than Diddy and Cassie.’

Furthermore, while not saying Shannon’s name, Mase referenced bible characters who were much more gangsters (Apostles and Pastors). Those biblical champions were martyred for their faith.

So, technically speaking, Shannon should have thought before he allegedly blasted Mase, mainly since he referred to Mase’s faith. Another exciting thing, Mase pointed out, was Shannon going after Blacks.

But he is allegedly quick to reconcile with non-blacks. Overall, Mase was not trying to have beef with Shannon. During his conversation with his co-hosts, he mentioned he respects Shannon.

Therefore, he decided to take a different route. This relates to continuing any feud with Shannon. In other words, there is no need to go back and forth with insults.

This approach by Mase is quite different from Shannon’s response to Mike Epps. Didn’t Shannon avoid a fight with comedian Mike Epps? Lately, there seems to be a lot of controversy surrounding Shannon.
