Anderson Paak Trials To Triumph. His story is a rag to riches story. Coming from Philadelphia to Compton was very challenging. However, in spite of that, he has persevered.
And, many of us have a similar experience. In fact, if you have come from the inner city, you know what I mean. In order to overcome you needed tenacity. So, it looks like Paak allowed music to get him through.
In other words, he took lemons and made lemonade. Despite adversity, Anderson Paak moved passed the obstacles. Here is some of what he shared,
“We had nowhere to go. I had my whole family in a U-Haul,” he once told Billboard. “We had a little bit of money left from the few shows I’d done and the little bit of weed we could sell, but we’d exhausted all our options.”
In 2016, things began to shift in his favor. His album “Malibu” bought him so recognition. In fact, it led to his deal with Dr. Dre with “Aftermath Records, are reported by Afrotech.
Then Paak created collaborations with Kendrick Lamar and Snoop. Then “Oxnard” went to No.6 on the Billboard charts. Although, most of us know him from his collaboration with Bruno Mars.
Listen, the R&B group “Silk Sonic” has exploded with hits. This group sold more than 102,000 units in the first week (Evening with Silk S0nic” was released (2021).
One of my favorite songs, of course, is “Leave the door Open.” There is nothing like old-school R&B music. Both Paak and Mars got that vibe on lock. You can’t help but fall in love with the song.
Thus far, Paak has won eight Grammy awards. Not to mention he received eleven nominations. I think Paak is just beginning to come into his own. Especially since he is multitalented.
In addition, to singing, he raps and produces. This is what we call a triple threat. Having said this, let’s take a look at another Paak collaboration with Rick Ross. Clearly, Paak can rock with the best of them.
