Apparently, their former group was involved with the Westside company, according to TMZ. However, Snoop, Ice Cube, and Too Short were alleged to have been cheated out of millions. And now they are trying to recover their losses. However, there is a dispute between the rappers and Westside. Therefore, they have filed a lawsuit.
The Core Of The Dispute
According to court documents filed in late 2024, Westside Merchandising entered into a 2022 deal to become the exclusive merchandise vendor for Mount Westmore, a hip-hop supergroup comprising Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, E-40, and Too Short.
The company alleges it paid the group an advance of $1.375 million in exchange for a promise of a massive 60-date tour across the United States and Europe. However, Westside Merchandising claims:
- The tour never materialized, with the group reportedly performing only three shows.
- The rappers failed to produce agreed-upon promotional videos for the merchandise.
- Snoop Dogg allegedly sold his own personal merchandise at a VIP event instead of the contracted group items.
Legal Maneuvers And Deposition Battles
By late 2025, the case intensified as the rappers’ legal teams fought to prevent them from sitting for depositions. Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube characterized the request for their testimony as “harassing, oppressive, and burdensome,” arguing that their busy schedules—including movie filming and Ice Cube’s commitments to the BIG3 basketball league—should exempt them from appearing in person.
The Defense
The rappers have adamantly denied the fraud allegations. Their legal representatives maintain that they have conducted business in good faith and that the claims are entirely baseless. Additionally, fellow group members E-40 and Too Short have argued they were never even part of the initial agreement with Westside Merchandising.
