Since rising to fame in the hip-hop industry, Daniel Hernandez has been no stranger to the court system. From assault charges to firearms offenses, his rap sheet is as colorful as his appearance.
Despite his success in the music industry, his legal troubles have followed him every step of the way. Casting a dark shadow over his career.
Now, as he faces yet another round of legal battles, it seems that Tekashi 69’s past actions are catching up to him. In July this year, the rapper pleaded guilty to alleged drug possession in a Manhattan court.
As we all know, Tekashi was released from jail on conditional probation restrictions. According to AP News, Tekashi’s home was raided in March 2025. At that time, it was alleged that cocaine and MDMA were found in his bedroom.
Also, ecstasy, aka Molly, was allegedly found in his bedroom cabinet. That drug raid led to Tekashi having to appear in court. While some of the charges were dropped, others were not.
U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer warned the rapper that there would be “severe consequences.” That was if he continued to violate the conditions of his release.
Charges And Potential Consequences
Music Times reports that Judge Paul Engelmayer of the U.S. District Court revealed that Tekashi is in trouble. On Friday, the news was released about further probation violations for Tekashi.
With potential consequences including lengthy jail time, the stakes are higher than ever for the troubled rapper. Facing a possible return to prison, Tekashi must now confront the gravity of his actions.
Tekashi was previously scheduled for sentencing on September 25th; however, it may be postponed. Whether he can overcome the latest legal challenges remains to be seen.
It does appear that Tekashi is headed back to jail. As the legal saga continues to unfold, one thing is sure – Tekashi 69’s troubles are far from over.
