According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jonathan also has to attend a domestic violence counseling program. So, for Jonathan, this is quite an honor to be recognized for his tenacity.
It is not often that you can overcome specific allegations. But Jonathan pressed through all of the accusations and public scrutiny. Even though he has lost some acting jobs, Jonathan has moved through it all.
While some were eager to write his career off, Jonathan is bouncing back. More importantly, Jonathan appears humble when Jason Lee publicly recognizes him.

There was thunderous applause and standing ovations as Jonathan was comforted by Iyanla. She lovingly wiped the tears from his eyes. Before he was able to compose himself, Jonathan embraced Iyanla.

When they snatched me up out of my apartment in handcuffs, I didn’t feel like all that,” the actor said, gesturing to the screen that had just played a highlight reel of his onscreen performances. “I didn’t feel like Jonathan Majors, Mr. Creed, Mr. Kang; I felt like a little scared, weak boy, despite the support and evidence that was in my favor, I knew shit was bad. And it was bad because of who I was and what I am. This is what happens to Black people all too often.”
He then went on to thank God for helping him through. A list of Hollywood A-listers who supported Jonathan throughout this ordeal were publicly thanked.
Actor Will Smith texted Jonathan to encourage him, and Courtney B. Vance and Tyler Perry sent heartfelt support. In addition, actor David Oyelowo was another consistent supporter of Jonathan.
However, Jonathan tearfully thanked his mother and girlfriend Megan Good. Megan was teary-eyed as she watched her boo have such an honor bestowed upon him.
Other celebrities were presented with awards. Christian Louboutin, Cardi Be, Fat Joe, and Civil Rights attorney Benjamin Crump were honored. Also, Da Brat and wife Jessica and Sharon Stone received awards.
It was a magical night for the recipients and those in the audience. According to Variety, Jonathan is set to star in his first movie after his conviction. Director Martin Villeneuve’s film “Merciless” will star Jonathan Majors.
