Judge Grants R. Kelly Victims Access To Royalties.
Heather Williams an alleged victim of R. Kelly won her claim.
An Illinois Supreme Court has granted Williams’s request for monetary damages.
Williams accused Kelly of coercing her into a sexual relationship.
In other words, William has been given priority access to Kelly’s Sony royalties.
Therefore, she can receive some of the $1.5 million.
At the time, she was only allegedly 16 years old, as stated by Revolt.
She will get first dibs on collecting her share of Kelly’s royalties.
And rightfully so. After all, Williams went the extra mile.
She fought for the judge to grant her access to Kelly’s funds.
Because there was a tug-of-war between other debtors of Kelly.
Although, Williams won her judgment in 2019, as reported by Atlanta Black Star.
An issue between her and Midwest Commercial Funding occurred.
Both MCF and Williams were awarded millions.
To be exact, Williams won $4 million, and MCF was awarded $3.5 million.
The judge had to decide who would get paid first.
After a lengthy process, Williams was granted royalties from Kelly before MCF.
Not that the cases have been settled, but other Kelly victims can be paid.
Better yet, Kelly’s other victims will have to go through the same process.
You can best believe, Kelly’s royalties will be distributed out.
As if that is not enough, Kelly may be left destitute.
