DaBaby Claps Back About 2018 Shooting
DaBaby Claps Back About 2018 Shooting. DaBaby’s legal woes are no secret. A 2018 video recently surfaced from a shooting where the North Carolina rapper took a mans’ life. As a result, he took to social media to stand his ground.
Troubled Past
DaBaby Claps Back About 2018 Shooting. DaBaby seemingly can’t stay out of altercations one way or another.
Last week he shot a man trespassing on his property. Earlier this year, he got into a bowling alley brawl.
However, a few years before, the rapper found himself facing a murder charge. As previously reported, in November 2018, a shooting took place at a Huntersville, N.C. Walmart.
Baby, whose real name is Jonathan Kirk, happened to be the assailant. At the time, he was an upcoming North Carolina rapper with a large social media following.
In this case, the rapper claimed to react in self-defense. A few months later, he received 12 months of probation for a weapon charge.
Well, now that the video has resurfaced, people have their two cents about his innocence. Baby clearly caught wind of it because he had some things to say on Twitter. Without a doubt, he has social media ablaze.
Defense Or Self Destruction?
After Rolling Stone released the footage, the rapper let off some subliminal tweets. Below is his initial response.
No disrespect to my boy Tyrese but damn bruh😂

Seemingly, DaBaby maintains his innocence. He continues with more tweets claiming to be preyed upon.

Some argue the Grammy-nominated rapper should take accountability. Others stand with him. For example, Hot 97 radios’ Ebro stood in solidarity saying:
“Why are people acting like the 2018 video of Da Baby’s Walmart incident wasn’t already seen by Walmart, The Police and the courts?”
Lastly, Funk Flex, also of Hot 97 even chimed in stating:
“You sell records and your stage show cranking… You put on for you[r] artist… some people/music insiders was getting threatend! #JustMyOpinion”
Above all, Kirk is in hot water. Is he taking the situation too lightly? Could this land the platinum rapper behind bars? No one knows. Without a doubt, this situation rings true to the “you’re either with me or against me scenario.”
