So What’s It All About?
Inspired by true events, Alice is set on a secluded plantation in the antebellum south.
The lead character, Alice (played by Palmer) is a slave who escapes her abusive captor.
After doing so, she realizes it’s actually 1973.
While searching for freedom, she runs into a truck driver (played by Common) who helps her adjust to the time period.
But Alice decides she wants to exact revenge on her former owner, Paul Bennet (played by Jonny Lee Miller).
So, she convinces Frank to go back to the plantation in Georgis with her.

Written by Krystin Ver Linden, this project is also her directorial debut.
Premiering at the Sundance Film Festival on January 23rd, Alice is scheduled to be released on March 18th.
