After 20 years, the follow-up movie Bad Boys II was released in July 2003. Fans were just as excited about the second installment after the first was a big hit.
Many people fell in love with detectives Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Barnett (Martin Lawrence). Their funny banter made audiences laugh and cheer.
We know we are in for a fun ride every time these two Hollywood giants team up. We can’t seem to get enough from car chases to shouting matches.
When the third installment, “Bad Boys” For Life,” was released, it made over $426.5M at the box office. It solidified Martin and Will as box office phenoms.
As always, Martin and Will entertained us from beginning to end. This time, we saw Mike Lawrey fight against his former love, Isabella Aretas. As Wiki states, Isabella was the widow of drug cartel mobster Benito Aretas.
Mike finds out that he and Isabella have a grown son, Armando. Long story short, Mike and Marcus end up in a battle with Isabella. In the end, Isabella dies, and Armando goes to prison.
Most of the cast members survived the gun battle. But Captain Howard was shot and killed by Mike’s son. Once again, the Bad Boy franchised delivered.
