Hot 97 has there Summer Jam, each year since 1994.
It’s one of the biggest festivals held in New York, as stated by XXL Mag.
Famous rappers such as Jay-Z have all performed.
Jay-Z performed his diss track against Nas at the 2001 show.
At the time, Jay-Z bought out the late great entertainer Michael Jackson.
Imagine Jay-Z performing with the King of Pop.
Clearly, Hot 97’s Summer Jam is epic. But to hear Method Man will not perform again the festival is different.
However, Method Man claims,
This performance with his long time partner Redd Man was one for the books.
Nevertheless, Method Man claims he is done with Summer Jam performances.

The NY rapper was careful to give accolades to the popular radio station, he’s done.
Does it mean Method Man is not going to perform? I don’t think so.
As Method Man said, the crowd is much different. Concertgoers are not allegedly into older rap.
This makes it difficult to hype the crowd. Therefore, it is time to move on.
Is The Generation Gap To Wide For Old School Rap?
According to Method Man, this generation gap is just too wide for him.
While it’s always bittersweet to see a beloved artist step away from the spotlight.
Surely fans can understand why Method Man made his decision.
His impact on the Summer Jam will be missed. Perhaps, Method Man will change his mind.
However, I don’t see this happening because of his statement. Sometimes, it’s better to move forward.
