According to Complex, Marlon discussed his family’s challenges and injustices in Hollywood. That part of the discussion led to him disclosing details about ‘Scary Movie.’
The deal given to the Wayans was a little one-sided. As Marlon mentioned, the first two installments of the Scary Movie were a nice sum of money.
But things took a turn for the worse during the third installment. That made the Wayans reevaluate their relationship with Miramax, which Weinstein backed.
Because the Wayans could not allegedly reach an amicable agreement, they walked away.
He claimed they had used his comedy material in their projects without giving him credit or compensation. Wayans expressed his frustration and disappointment at the situation.

The demise of his Hollywood career has been in shambles. Since his conviction, we have not heard any news about his brother at all. So, it is possible that Marlon Wayan was accurate in his assumptions.
Even though Marlon has made these allegations against Weinstein, there has been no lawsuit. In other words, the Wayans allegedly walked away without suing the Weinsteins.
