The once-thriving empire is crumbling, leaving him in a precarious position as he struggles to escape debt. As Hip Hop Dx states, Dame recently had to auction off significant assets.
Dame also sold 33.3 percent of his stake in the Roc-A-Fella record label. This auction was held to satisfy his tax bill and other financial obligations.
One financial obligation was to pay a debt incurred during the 2016 film Dear Frank. Then, a photographer and writer sued; however, movie producer Josh Webber received $823K.
It is important to note that Dame’s financial obligations allegedly amount to $8 million. However, selling off the Roc-A-Fella shares cost only around $1 million, which is allocated to his alleged back child support.
Auction Of Assets Looming
As Dash’s financial troubles continue to mount, the prospect of an auction of his assets looms large. With creditors knocking at his door and bills piling up, Dash may soon be forced to part ways with valuable possessions.
His auction could include everything from luxury cars to prized artwork, further underscoring the depth of his financial struggles.
Josh Webber and his attorney, Christopher Brown, request that Dame deliver his media company, Poppington, LLC. He has produced other copyrighted films.
A judge has yet to rule on the matter, but things appear to be getting worse for Dame. Once part of the thriving Roc-A-Fella record label, the music mogul is facing an uphill battle.
