Snoop Dogg Apologizes To the LGBTQ Community. The iconic rapper and actor recently found himself embroiled in controversy after making some controversial remarks towards the LGBTQ community. His words sparked a backlash from members of the community and their allies, prompting Snoop Dogg to issue a public apology.

This all started when Snoop took his grandson to see a Disney movie. While Snoop and his grandson were enjoying Pixar’s “Lightyear,” he was asked a question.
His young grandson was allegedly curious about the two same sex couples. Apparently, the same-sex couple had a baby together.
Well, Snoop was allegedly put into a precarious situation. According to USA Today, Snoop took to social media to express his concern. On an August 20th episode of the “It’s Giving” podcast, Snoop shared this.
“(The movie is) like, ‘She had a baby with a woman,'” he said. “My grandson, in the middle of the movie, is like, ‘Papa Snoop, how did she have a baby with a woman? She’s a woman.'”
Then Snoop went on to say, he “didn’t come here” to answer these kinds of questions. “I’m scared to go to the movies now, “he said, adding that “Lightyear” was “throwing me in the middle of a situation where I didn’t have an answer” for his grandchild.”
Furthermore, Snoop said,
“It threw me for a loop,” he continued. “I’m like, ‘What part of the movie was this?’ These are kids. We have to show that at this age? They’re going to ask questions! I don’t have the answer.”
Clearly, Snoop did not realize his comments would go viral. And, he did not know he would receive such backlash. However, Snoop has now come under fire for his allegedly negative LGBTQ+ comments.
Backlash From The LGBTQ Community
Following Snoop Dogg’s remarks, a famous member of the LGBTQ+ community, TS. Madison allegedly called him out.
At this time, Snoop claims he is an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, as stated by 4 New York News. But you can best believe Snoop has not heard the last of this. Some may not agree with Snoop, while others may.
Nevertheless, Snoop will possibly have to address this issue with leaders in the LGBTQ+ community. What are your thoughts?
Is Snoop entitled to this opinion? If not, why? At any rate, our society, in my opinion, has become very sensitive to specific issues.
At the same time, other problems are never addressed (i.e., homelessness and human sex trafficking).
