His legal team swiftly defended their client in response to the police accusations. As Billboard stated, Attorneys Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg have responded to the allegations.
Forbes reports that Dominique Jones, aka Lil Baby’s name, was not mentioned in court. However, his name was allegedly mentioned in the arrest report.
Although Lil Baby was in the video, a creative team worked on the process. So, it is possible the shooting was a coincidence.
One thing that should be pointed out, Lil Baby is being accused of being in a rival gang. In other words, Lil Baby’s affiliation with this gang caused the murders of the teens.
Setting The Record Straight
Lil Baby’s legal team has transparently addressed the police accusations. The music video was shot in May 2024 in a part of Atlanta frequented by the ” Only My Family” gang.
Having said this, police claim Lil Baby is the alleged leader of the “4 Pockets Full” rival gang. There were three people allegedly shot that day. And, police claim, it was Lil Baby’s involvement that set things off.
Lamon Freeman and JaKody Davis were the two 13-year-olds who were shot. As a result, there was a continuum of violence between the rival gangs.
Seven men were arrested who were said to be involved in the shootings. Quiyontay Sanders, Richard Hollis, and Reginald Thomas were taken in.
In addition, Dekeitheon Mobley, Markus Crawford, Tradon Crawford, and Ali Caldwell were all arrested. Lil Baby’s attorneys wanted to set the record straight by claiming his innocence.
Furthermore, the attorneys are saying that Lil Baby’s involvement is nonsense. Also, according to his attorneys,
“To say that he couldn’t shoot a music video in his hometown, a place that he loves and has continued to uplift, is disgraceful. Even more, the location for a major music video shoot is a decision made by a professional team and is not made by any individual.”
Lil Baby is livid about the allegations made against him. As his attorneys stated,
“Bringing his name into a conversation regarding a terrible crime for which he had no involvement is unprofessional, unethical and shamef,ul. Dominique is devastated about the situation because those children came from the same neighborhood he did, and he will continue to build up his community in any way he can.”
The Atlanta police department has not commented. But Lil Baby’s attorneys have wasted no time to come to his defense.
The ongoing legal battle has not deterred Lil Baby from focusing on his music career. And he remains determined to overcome these challenges.
With his legal team tirelessly fighting for him, Lil Baby hopes for a positive resolution to this legal ordeal.
