As People stated, she received this prestigious honor on June 13, 2024. To date, SZA has collected three Grammys, four iHeart Radio music awards, and four Billboard Music Awards.

Also, she has received a Brit Award. In conjunction, SZA has been nominated for numerous music awards.

The Hall Of Fame awards were held in New York. SZA was joined by honorees Steeley Dan, Timbaland, and R.E.M.’s Mike Mills and Michael Stripe.

These new Hall Of Famers have joined Taylor Swift, Post Malone, and Ed Sheeran.

Featured performers at the Marriott Marquis Hotel were Missy Elliott, Jason Isbell, and Carrie Underwood.

During her speech, SZA shared this,

“I’m just beyond all of my wildest dreams,” SZA said in her acceptance speech, later adding that the honor “basically validates” all aspects of her career, including songwriting.

“I’m just so grateful,” she said. “Thank you for seeing me.”

“I swear, I’ll be like, ‘Oh I wrote this and I wrote that,'” SZA said. “And [people would] be like, ‘OK,’ especially if you’re a woman, especially if you’re a Black woman. So to win this… It just means the world.”

This award was given for her impact and her original songwriting.

Recognition At Songwriters Hall Of Fame

The Songwriters Hall of Fame is a prestigious institution that celebrates the art of songwriting. In addition, the HOF honors those who have made significant contributions to the craft.
