Fauziya Abashe alleges the famous DJ raped her in his New Jersey home. According to People, the alleged incident occurred in July 2022.
Ms. Abashe claims she was drugged and raped by his friends. Therefore, she is suing DJ Akademiks for negligent infliction of emotional distress and defamation.
According to Abashe, she was allegedly given alcohol, which made her ‘extremely lightheaded.’ In addition, she got very dizzy, and John Doe 1 reportedly became aggressive.
She claims John Doe 1 made unwanted sexual advances toward her. At that point, John Doe 1 allegedly tossed her in the pool. When she tried to climb out of the pool, Abashe claimed John Doe 1 raped her.
USA Today reports that Abashe filed a civil lawsuit in court on Monday, May 14th, against Livingston Allen, aka DJ Akademiks.
Her attorney Tryone Blackburn shared in his statement, there have been several attempts to resolve the case.
However, nothing materialized, so Abashe filed the lawsuit in the Superior Court.
DJ Akademiks Responds To His Accusers Allegations Of Rape
DJ Akademiks has responded to Abashe’s claims by going against his attorney’s advice. Here is some of what he shared,
“My only comment should really be: Whatever this is will be handled in court. Just know, according to the law and according to the police and according to all sanctioning governing authorities, Akademiks is an innocent man who has not ever been charged with anything of the sort that has to do with any deviancy or anything like that, has never been charged, will never be charged. That’s a fact.”
He then said this is ‘a shakedown’ and a money tree situation.’ It appears that Abashe is telling a story different from Akademiks. She alleges after being drugged by Akademiks and two of his friends.
Abashe claims she filed a complaint with the police, who allegedly confiscated footage. As a result of the alleged rape, Abashe claims she has significant physical and psychological pain and suffering.
Although Akademiks continues to proclaim his innocence, it may not be enough. His reputation is on the line, not to mention his career. That is if what Abashe is claiming is true.
