Willow Smith has become the face of Mugler’s latest fragrance, Alien Goddess. In an Instagram post, the singer song-writer child of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith called the brand’s newest fragrance a “manifesto.”
“It urges us to be wholly ourselves; to brandish what makes us unique with pride,” she said.
Alien Goddess: The meaning, The Intent, The Expression of Femininity.
Alien by Mugler is a classic fragrance. The scent was a defining perfume of the mid-aughts, whether you wore it or not. With beauty as a business, such classics are often remixed, reimagined, and revived with a little bit of scent magic.
Such is the case for the brand’s newest iteration of its famous fragrance, Alien Goddess. The fragrance is about the expression of new femininity expressed via floral notes. Notes of jasmine grandiflorum, as well as Madagascar bourbon vanilla, and coconut water are present in the light-smelling fragrance.

Vanilla and coconut certainly come through in the fragrance, which warms up the floral scents and makes them feel soft and cozy rather than being overpowering. The scent represents the brand’s “new femininity,” as exemplified by Willow Smith, the scent’s new ambassador.
Willow Smith is the Perfect Brand Ambassador for Mugler’s Alien Goddess
Like most of us, Smith remembers Mugler’s first Alien fragrance as a child, but she also recalls its products. Her initial interest in the partnership was motivated by that, as she told Allure. “I had seen some old photos and videos of fashion shows from Mugler in the past — it was just fire,” she says over a Zoom call. “Even then, they were innovating and doing such unique and different things.”
