The so-called “Queen of Mean” Wendy Williams is in the middle of a health crisis. Wendy has been very candid about suffering from debilitating lymphedema. This disease can be very crippling.
Wendy Is Inundated With Support From Fans
The talk show host has been through a lot the past few years. Wendy and her husband Kevin Hunter of 18 years ended their marriage. Wendy entered into Rehab. Wendy lost her beloved mother. And, for some time now Wendy has been suffering from lymphedema. Fans jumped on social media to express love and admiration for Wendy. The comments on social media were, Get Well soon, praying for you, sending love and positive energy to Wendy. The condition Wendy was diagnosed with “Lymphedema” causes swelling of the lower extremities. Mainly, feet and ankles are affected in most patients. Wendy now has to rely on a compressing machine to help with the swelling. Swelling in an arm or leg is caused by a lymphatic system blockage. The condition is caused by a blockage in the lymphatic system, part of the immune and circulatory systems.
According to WebMD, lymphedema is most commonly caused by lymph node removal or damage due to cancer treatment. The main symptom is swelling in an arm or leg that may be accompanied by pain or discomfort. Exercise, wrapping, massage, and compression can help. Although, Wendy’s condition may not be from a cancer diagnosis.
In Wendy’s case, her feet have been affected, not her arms. As a result, Wendy
is forced to wear supportive shoes or sneaks. In addition, Wendy suffers from
Grave’s Disease. Which is an autoimmune condition characterized by an overactive thyroid, as reported by Hello Magazine. You may have noticed that Wendy has bulging eyes, this is one of the primary symptoms of Grave’s disease. Also, Wendy has become an advocate for the lymphatic disease. She has urged her fans to participate by giving to the Virtual Global Lymphwalk.

due to health issues. However, Wendy promises to start the 13th season of her show ‘The Wendy Williams Show” on September 20, as reported by Page Six. With that said, Wendy is grateful for her fan’s love and support. We wish Wendy all the best.
