T. I. and Tiny Still Have A Lot Of Explaining To Do
T.I. and Tiny (real names Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr. and Tameka Cottle) got a bit of good news lately.
After being accused of sexually assaulting multiple women and drugging them, one of the cases has come to a screeching halt.
According to court documents, one of the women alleges that she was drugged and assaulted sexually back in 2005.
Her claims detailed how she was allegedly given a drink by Tiny after being brought to a hotel room.
The woman believed that she was “most likely drugged” and Tiny’s husband, T.I. penetrated her vagina with his toes.
However, prosecutors in Los Angeles decided against charging 40-year-old T.I. and 46-year-old Tiny.
Why? Because of the statute of limitations running out.
According to TMZ, the accuser filed a police report earlier this year, but the incident allegedly took place more than 10 years ago.
A different woman from Las Vegas had a similar story, in which she alleges that she met the couple at an airport and the same thing happened to her in 2010.
Again, the charges were not followed up on, as this case also fell outside of the statute of limitations.
The Harris’ Are Not Off The Hook Just Yet
After these allegations were made, VHI suspended the production of their reality show, T.I. and Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle.
T.I. took to social media to deny all allegations, saying all sexual acts were consensual.
Speaking about the case, Attorney Steve Sadow stated on behalf of the couple that Tiny and T.I. –
“…deny in the strongest possible terms these unsubstantiated and baseless allegations. We are confident that if these claims are thoroughly and fairly investigated, no charges will be forthcoming.”
“These allegations are nothing more than the continuation of a sordid shakedown campaign that began on social media. The Harrises implore everyone not to be taken in by these obvious attempts to manipulate the press and misuse the justice system.”
