It was pure genius for Tiffany & Co. to partner with hip-hop royalty. Jay Z and Beyonce have the Midas touch. Everyone knows that Beyonce and Jay Z set trends.
Beyonce and Jay Z Will Re-create Tiffany & Co. Brand
Vogue magazine features Beyonce in a gorgeous black gown with the back out. But it’s the priceless yellow diamond long chain adorned with over 100 carats of diamonds, which set it off. Then there is Jay Z looking debonair in his black suit with a bow tie. The photoshoot directed by Emmanuel Adjei represents “Black Is King.” The “Love Campaign” shot by Mason Poole and styled by June Ambrose and Marni Senofonte was fabulous, as reported by VOGUE. Beyonce’s hair was styled by Jawara Wauchope and Nakia Rachon, and I must say it complimented the entire ensemble.
In addition, Beyonce was wearing a 22-carat cushion-cut yellow diamond ring. And, Beyonce wears other very lavish pieces of jewelry throughout the Tiffany & Co. campaign. In case you were wondering, Tiffany & Co. is one of the most prestigious jewelry companies in the world. In fact, Tiffany & Co. has been in business since 1837. The luxury jewelry company was started by Charles Lewis Tiffany. Later, in the 20th century, his son Louis Comfort Tiffany re-vamped the company. The luxury jewelry company has its headquarters in New York City.
However, Tiffany & Co. has 326 stores globally. The United States, Japan, Canada, Europe, Latin, and Pacific Asia regions all have Tiffany & Co. stores. In 2018 net sales totaled US$4.44 billion and so far this year the company has made $15.8 billion, as reported by Wikipedia.
Not only, is Beyonce sporting the luxury line but Jay Z is wearing a “Bird on a Rock” brooch by Jean Schlumberger, who is one of the most renowned jewelers of the 20th century. Just like Beyonce Jay Z is wearing luxury jewelry throughout the campaign, as well. When the executive vice president of Tiffany & Co. was asked why Beyonce and Jay Z wear selected to represent them he stated,
“Beyonce, and Jay Z is the epitome of the modern love story, “As a brand that has always stood for love, strength and self-expression, we could not think of a more iconic couple that better represents Tiffany’s values. We are honored to have the Carters as a part of the Tiffany family.”
By the way, this is the first time Beyonce and Jay Z have starred in a campaign together. This power couple is just what Tiffany & Co. needed to capture style and elegance. Both Beyonce and Jay Z wanted to partner with Tiffany & Co. which makes this campaign extra special. To top it off, Tiffany & Co. will pay $2 Million to Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Also, Beyonce will be singing a new rendition of “Moon River.”
Some may not remember “Moon River” but you may remember the actress “Audrey Hepburn.” Incidentally, Audrey not only sang “Moon River” but she won a Grammy in 1962 for Record of the Year. And, who can forget the movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s where Audrey starred in. In the first scene of the movie, Audrey is seen outside of Tiffany’s. Congratulations to The Carters.
