It was the first win in their franchise history, as stated by Yahoo Sports. Everyone was on the edge of their seats as they watched the Pacers and OKC battle.

Ultimately, OKC emerged victorious. As we all know, the OKC’s moved their franchise from Seattle to Oklahoma. And, it has been since 2008 that fans have witnessed a new team.

Thunderous Celebration In OKC

As the final buzzer sounded and the confetti rained down from the rafters, the city of Oklahoma City erupted in cheers. Some people thought for sure that Tyrese Haliburton would lead the Pacers to victory.

However, Tyrese suffered an injury and their chances began to diminish. The Pacers went all the way to Game 7, but it was not enough to beat OKC.

NBC reports that the Thunder turned the game around in the third quarter. That was when the team’s tenacity shone through. During the season, OKC won 68 games with some of the best scoring in the league.

On the roster this season were Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Dillon Jones, Luguentz Dort, and Jaylin Williams. Also backing the team up were Chet Holmgren, Cason Wallace, Kenrich Williams, Alex Caruso, and Isaiah Hartenstein.

This young team was quite impressive, as they played with great heart and determination. In just a short time, the OKCs have managed to triumph in their quest for the NBA Championship.

We say congratulations to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
