When he realized what happened, he went into damage control. At first, Shannon claimed it was some hack. Later, he revealed that it was an accident.
From this point on, the situation seems to take on a life of its own. Many have compared his situation to that of NBA Hall of Famer Paul Pierce.
Remember back in 2021, Paul Pierce was allegedly fired by ESPN for partying with exotic dancers. In the video, there were people allegedly smoking marijuana; however, Paul was not.
Nevertheless, the controversial video possibly led to his exit from ESPN. Having said this, eyebrows have been raised because Shannon was allegedly found in a compromising position.
Therefore, why can Shannon remain with ESPN, but Paul Pierce will not? It appears to be a contradiction of sorts.
