Breaking News: Simone To Show Her Stuff On The Balance Beam

USA Gymnastics excitedly announced that we will see two American gymnast compete for the the Gold on The Balance Beam.

Everyone has been dazzled with the performances of the GOAT of gymnastics. No other gymnast is more decorated than Simone Arianne Biles. In fact, she has 4 skills named after her –

  • Biles (6.4) Vault (Yurchenko half-on, front layout salto with double twist off)
  • Biles (H) on Balance Beam (double-twisting double tucked salto dismount)
  • The Biles 1 (G) for the balance beam (double layout half out)
  • and the Biles II (J) on floor exercise (triple twisting double tucked salto)

After years of winning event after event, Biles got a case of the “twisties” and had to drop out of the All-Around in Tokyo.

As detailed by Hip Hop News Uncensored, within days, she withdrew from the Vault, The Floor, and the Uneven Bars.

After a shaky start, she would go on to win a Silver Medal in the Team Competition, losing out to the gymnastics team from Russia.

Citing she was suffering from “the twisties”, which is a phenomenon that causes gymnasts to lose their sense of space and dimension in midair, Biles says she “literally cannot tell up from down”.

Having been diagnosed as a child, Simone takes medication for ADHD in which she obtained a medical exemption for from the World Anti-Doping Agency. Of her condition, the gymnast says that ADHD is –

“nothing to be ashamed of and nothing that I’m afraid to let people know.”

Known for her complicated routines, the 24-year-old artistic gymnast has decided to give one last try at the Olympics in Tokyo.

Along with her teammate Suni Lee, who went on to win Gold in the All-Around after Simone’s withdrawal, Biles is scheduled to compete in the Balance Beam, her final opportunity to medal.

During the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Biles won Gold with her team, and at all other events except for the Balance Beam. For that event, she took home the Bronze medal.

If she medals here, in 2021, she will either match her Bronze or do even better than she did in 2016.

With a combined total of 31 Olympic and World Championship medals under her belt, all eyes will be focused on the Balance Beam.

Will you be among the millions of people to that will be tuned in to witness this incredible, multi-talented young lady perform her routine?  Even though it showed that she was a little off on her performance a month ago at Day 1 trials, she nailed her famous dismount. Will she be able to nail her uber-difficult double-twisting double tucked salto dismount named after her this time around?

All be rooting for her the last event of the Tokyo Olympic, which will be tomorrow, August 3rd at 4:50 a.m. eastern time. We’ll see how it goes.
