Rapper Scarface Gets Life Saving Kidney

Unfortunately, Brad”Scarface” Jordan needed a kidney because of the effects of Covid -19.  The damage that Scarface suffered after having Covid-19 ravaged his kidneys. In addition, Scarface suffered a bout with pneumonia, as well.

Scarface’s Son Gave His Kidney So His Dad Could Live

The former member of “The Geto Boys” rap group had real health challenges. It was “Rap-A-Lot founder J Prince who broke the news, as reported by Essence. There were a few pictures posted of Scarface recovering in the hospital. J Prince congratulated Scarface’s son,

“Congrats to my brother @brothermob & his son @_iamchrisjordan for giving his father one of his kidneys,” Prince wrote. “I celebrate with the both of you for being an example of unending love. Chris, a lot of people talk about how much they love your dad, but you have separated yourself from the talkers by your actions. We all salute the both of you and wish you both a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹”

What an awesome way to give back to his father. It is possible without Chris’s kidney his father Scarface may have died. Dialysis is not a cure for kidney failure. Although, Dialysis can prolong the life of the patient. Ultimately, having a new kidney is the goal.  Chris shared these beautiful words before the surgery,

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy!!” he said. “Tomorrow We having surgery!!!!”

Now, that’s love.  The Houston rap group “Geto Boys” dropped the hit like “Mind Playin’ Tricks On Me” over 30 -years- ago. Back then the group had an issue with releasing their very controversial music. According to All Music, “The Geto Boys”, the controversial subject matter of gangsta rap wasn’t much of a barrier to popular success during the ’90s, the Geto Boys’ recordings proved almost to the extreme for widespread exposure. In fact, they were blocked from distributing their 1990 major-label debut by Geffen – who insisted that a track dealing with necrophilia as well as the murder was a step too far- the group was saved by producer Rick Rubin. Rick arranged for another distributor to release it on his Def American label.

Incidentally, the Geto Boys controversy proceeded before the censorship of Ice -T and 2 Live Crew. The Geto Boys had great success with their following song,” We Can’t Be Stopped.” However, the group began to unravel around 1993.
