Mally Mall is out of options. After last-ditch efforts to delay his sentencing were thwarted, he’s headed to prison.
Mally Mall Begins His Prison Sentence Of 33 Months
Hip Hop Producer/Songwriter/Rapper Jamal (Mally Mall) Rashid has started a 33-months long sentence in jail.
Rashid tasted fame initially after a shout-out on Drake’s song, “The Motto”.
While he worked with several big-name artists, like Tyga, Sean Kingston, Usher, and Justin Bieber, he was most recently associated with the VH1 series “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood.”
Igniting a violent feud between 2 women, he was the long-time boyfriend of Nikki Mudarris. During the season the Brazilian-Egyptian rapper was featured in 6 episodes.
While he was the long-time boyfriend of Nikki Mudarris, he went behind Nikki’s back and started hitting on Masika Kalysha.
This caused a major, violent feud to ignite between the 2 women.
After what he’s been up to, maybe it was a good idea for both these women to jump ship.
A Few Details Of The Case Against Him
Jamal Rashid was charged and convicted of owning and managing several illegal prostitution services in Clark County, Nevada for over a decade, he entered a guilty plea.
Details of the case reveal that 45-year-old Rashid called his girls “Priority Girls” and kept a tight rope on their shenanigans.
Though their ‘clients’ were charged from $1,000 to $10,000 dollars a pop, most of the girls only got a tiny fraction of that…about $100.
Also, there were rules the girls had to follow (Hey, did this guy know R. Kelly?).
According to the sentencing memo, these are examples of the rules they had to follow. Priority Girls –
- were not allowed to date anyone
- had to text him before they could go anywhere
- had to get a tattoo related to Rashid to show their loyalty to him
Not only did he get nearly 3 years in prison, but the judge also tacked on an additional 3 years of supervision upon his release.
Attempts To Postpone Sentencing Fell Flat
Already surrendering to the court, Mally Mall had claimed health reasons for his desire to delay his sentencing.
Citing his findings of a mass found on his thigh that could potentially be cancerous, Rashid says he may need a biopsy or CT scan.
However, after the producer made several attempts to slow things down, the judge in the case failed to see his side of things.
Legal docs show that there was no reason his health issues could not be adequately treated while he’s locked up.
Responding to his request to postpone sentencing, the judge stated that she would not “entertain any further meritless delay tactics.”
