Future Providing Lawyers And Paying Legal Fees
Jokobi Wilburn, the oldest of 6 kids by rapper Future was arrested on 3 charges:
- Criminal Gang Activity
- Criminal Trespassing
- Altered ID of a Firearm
During a gang bust in Georgia last month, Wilburn was allegedly in possession of a gun with its serial number scratched out, according to Complex.
In court documents, the 17-year-old listed himself as indigent and requested a public defender. However, his mom, Jessica Smith and his father, Future got involved.
Georgia don’t play when it comes to the law, and 17-year olds are tried as adults. By hiring lawyers and paying all his legal fees, his parents are doing all they can to help their son. His mom, Jessica spoke with TMZ –
“Our son is a minor and to protect his well being in this trying situation, we ask that everyone please respect our privacy at this time”
