The FBI is investigating singer R Kelly for potential violation of the MANN Act. Apparently, the Feds are out to get Kelly. Allegedly, Kelly booked a flight for an underage girl. The allegations of Kelly sleeping with underage girls resurfaced during the docu-series, Surviving R Kelly was aired.
Did R Kelly book a flight for an underage girl or not?
One of Kelly’s alleged victims, Azriel Clary claimed that she was flown from California to Orlando on May 25, 2015 when she was only 17. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are now looking into Clary’s allegations, according to Complex. The FBI are investigating R Kelly for a potential violation of the MANN Act – the transporting of a minor across state lines for sex. Some sources close to Kelly are saying he had a permission slip from Clary’s mother, Alice.
What is the MANN Act?
The MANN Act is a federal law that makes it illegal to transport a minor across state lines for purposes of sex, debauchery or prostitution. The punishment for such a crime is up to 10 years in federal prison. Kelly’s attorney, Steven Greenberg has denied any violation of law by Kelly, according to TMZ. It’s starting to sound like the authorities are grasping for straws!!!
